Director, Health Economics & Market Access – Surgery (EMEA)

About the role

The Director, HEMA Surgery EMEA will define and execute the health economics, market access and reimbursement strategy for Johnson & Johnson's Surgery portfolio across the EMEA region. The role aligns HEMA activities with business priorities to accelerate patient access and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global, regional and local stakeholders to define and implement the EMEA Surgery HEMA strategy.
• Act as the strategic HEMA partner to Surgery EMEA leadership, embedding HEMA into regional strategy, lifecycle planning and investment decisions.
• Design and execute health‑economic research, including real‑world evidence studies, budget‑impact models, decision‑analytic models and resource‑use analyses.
• Develop and disseminate economic evidence, publications and value narratives across EMEA markets.
• Lead strategies to secure and optimise reimbursement, funding and procedural adoption (DRGs, add‑on payments, procedure codes, coverage decisions).
• Monitor healthcare reform, reimbursement and policy trends and advise leadership on implications.
• Engage with payers, HTA bodies, policy makers and professional societies; enable cross‑market best‑practice sharing.
• Lead managers and senior individual contributors, fostering a purpose‑driven environment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health economics, reimbursement and market access for surgical technologies.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional and external partners at global, regional and local levels.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and senior contributors.
