Director, EMEA Public Policy & Government Affairs

About the role

The Director, EMEA Public Policy & Government Affairs will lead Palo Alto Networks’ policy and government affairs practice across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in Belgium and operating remotely, you will shape public policy, influence regulators and create market opportunities for the company’s cybersecurity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a public affairs strategy targeting EU, NATO and national government institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior policymakers, regulators, industry bodies and defence officials.
• Translate policy developments into market access, customer engagement and growth initiatives.
• Identify and enable market opportunities arising from new regulations, public‑investment priorities and sovereign technology agendas.
• Collaborate with business leadership to align policy insights with product road‑maps and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Represent Palo Alto Networks at high‑level forums, conferences and stakeholder meetings across the EMEA region.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in public policy, government affairs or regulatory affairs within the cybersecurity or technology sector.
• Deep knowledge of EU institutions, NATO agencies and national government processes.
• Proven track record of influencing public policy and building strategic stakeholder networks.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate complex policy issues into business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, fluently speaking English; additional European languages are a plus.
