Digital Tech & Human Rights Intern

About the role

The Digital Tech & Human Rights Intern will support the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in its mission to protect and promote human rights worldwide, with a focus on the impact of digital technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on thematic and regional issues at the intersection of digital technology and human rights.
• Draft and summarize reports, background notes, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare documentation and support the organization of meetings, seminars, and workshops.
• Assist the supervisor with any related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or current graduate student (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or a related field.
• Strong interest in human rights and digital technology issues.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or another UN language is desirable.
