KYT Analyst

About the role

Paynovate, a Belgian fintech, is looking for a KYT Analyst on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to strengthen its First Line of Defence. You will focus on transaction monitoring, AML investigations and support KYC periodic reviews, helping to reduce the current alert backlog.

Key responsibilities

• Review and investigate a high volume of transaction monitoring and KYT alerts for customers and merchants, including historical alerts.
• Analyse transaction flows, customer profiles and expected activity to spot unusual patterns and AML/CFT risk indicators.
• Gather additional information when needed and make risk‑based decisions on case closure or escalation.
• Document investigations and decisions clearly to maintain an audit‑ready trail.
• Manage assigned alert queues efficiently while ensuring consistent quality.
• Provide operational support on KYC periodic reviews and look‑back activities.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in AML, KYT or transaction monitoring within a fintech, EMI, bank or consulting environment.
• Background in Criminology, Law, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability to connect transaction patterns with customer information.
• Comfortable handling high volumes of alerts while maintaining accuracy.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); French or Dutch a plus.

• Experience with the SEON transaction monitoring platform.
