DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a CI/CD DevOps Engineer at Smals, you will join a dedicated team responsible for managing and continuously improving the company’s software delivery pipelines. Your focus will be on ensuring that deployments are efficient, secure, and reliable, supporting the broader mission of delivering impactful IT solutions for society.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring smooth build and release cycles.
• Monitor pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and propose automation improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to support software delivery and resolve deployment issues.
• Analyze requirements, design solutions, and document best‑practice procedures.
• Optimize build, release, and deployment processes for speed and stability.
• Integrate DevSecOps principles to embed security early in the delivery chain.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in software delivery and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in French and Dutch, with good English comprehension.
• Analytical mindset, structured approach, and strong communication skills.
