About the role
HCL is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide day‑to‑day local and remote desktop assistance in Belgium. The role involves handling inbound calls, troubleshooting hardware, software and application issues, and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver first‑line desktop support for Windows workstations and laptops, both onsite and remotely.
- Receive, log and resolve incidents and service requests while adhering to SLA targets.
- Perform OS installation, configuration, driver updates and application support.
- Manage hardware and software assets, including inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
- Provide basic network troubleshooting and iPhone configuration assistance.
- Generate reports on ticket volumes, inventory status and SLA performance.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows desktop support.
- Strong knowledge of ticketing tools and incident management processes.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts and coordinate with supervisors.
- Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
- Eligibility to work in Belgium.
