Deployment Strategist - Public Sector, Nonprofit & Education

About the role

Salesforce is hiring Deployment Strategists, customer-facing advisors who define AI strategy, shape agentic solutions and drive measurable adoption for enterprise customers. They work in delivery teams alongside Forward Deployed Engineers, turning complex business challenges into agentic AI deployments that go live. Engagements are focused and time-bound, typically 12 weeks or less, and may cover a single account or several customers at once.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer engagement across the full value lifecycle (Identify, Commit, Deploy, Consume).
• Define the customer's Agentic AI strategy and roadmap, lead design workshops and agent design sessions, and architect solutions across Salesforce's agentic AI platform, Data Cloud and enterprise systems with responsible AI governance.
• Manage delivery timelines, stakeholder communication, risk escalation and progress reporting.
• Own adoption, consumption and expansion metrics, identify blockers early and drive value realization.
• Work closely with the Forward Deployed Engineers and serve as the primary contact for Government, Nonprofit and/or Education customers.
• Assess customer readiness for AI adoption and guide change management and process transformation.
• Turn field insights into product feedback for the Agentic AI platform roadmap.

Required profile

• Fluent English, and either Dutch or French.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years in strategic solutioning, technical advisory, delivery leadership or program management for enterprise cloud or SaaS.
• Proven experience managing customer-facing projects in Public Sector, Higher Education or Nonprofit environments.
• Proven customer-facing delivery experience (consulting, professional services or technical advisory) is required.
• Ability to lead complex, ambiguous engagements end-to-end and to travel 25% of the time to customer sites.

Required skills

• Demonstrated understanding of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem, including Agentic AI and Data Cloud.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, Java or Apex.
• Experience leading AI/LLM solution design, including agentic AI strategy, conversation design and responsible AI practices.
• Project and program management skills.
• Preferred: Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce and CRM certifications, experience in regulated industries, and background in change management.
