Data Engineer – Cloud & Data Platform

About the role

AFD Tech, part of Accenture, is looking for a Data Engineer to join a client‑driven data team in Brussels. The role focuses on building and operating large‑scale data platforms for the Energy & Utilities sector, using cloud technologies and modern data tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud environment.
• Industrialise data flows covering ingestion, transformation and exposure.
• Deploy and orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Implement data processing solutions using Python and SQL.
• Work on an AWS stack (storage, processing, managed services).
• Contribute to projects using Dataiku for data preparation and collaboration.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, traceability and monitoring across the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS in data‑related projects.
• Solid practice of Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with Dataiku is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working in complex, multi‑source, high‑volume data environments.
• Professional proficiency in French and English (written and spoken).
