Cyber Security Detection Engineer & SOC Escalation Analyst

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Cyber Security Detection Engineer & SOC Escalation Analyst to join the team supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The role serves as the technical escalation point within a Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), ensuring high‑quality investigations and robust detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and quality‑check investigations, alert closures and escalations performed by First‑Line Analysts.
• Conduct deep‑dive log and threat analysis to identify sophisticated cyber incidents.
• Build, tune and maintain detection content across modern SIEM, SOAR and EDR platforms.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a 24×7 monitoring roster.
• Collaborate with NATO and defence stakeholders to align security operations with mission requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a SOC or cyber security operations environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to validate and improve investigative processes.
• Capability to mentor and guide less‑experienced analysts.
• Willingness to operate in a high‑pressure, mission‑critical setting.
