Corporate Governance Data Procurement Trainee (Fixed-Term)

About the role

ISS STOXX, a provider of corporate governance research, data and proxy voting solutions, is looking for a pool of self-motivated data collection trainees for February 2027, during proxy voting season. The traineeship takes place in the ISS STOXX office in Brussels and runs for 3 to 5 months, starting on 1 February 2027 and ending on 14 May, 15 June or 30 June 2027. It is a fixed-term, paid position (2,242.81 EUR gross per month) and requires working 5 days a week, based in the country of employment from day 1.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process data on shareholder meetings of listed companies, including agendas, proxy voting cards and voting analytics, and turn them into a meaningful format for clients.
• Procure shareholder meeting materials (agendas, proxy cards, annual reports) from publicly traded companies and enter voting results from annual general meetings into the company's bespoke software.
• Process the collected meeting material report data into a standard format for clients in English.
• Communicate with listed companies to gather proxy season information.
• Support other internal departments on questions about companies and shareholder meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Social Studies, Political Science, Law or a related field, or currently studying for one.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• A minimum of one of the following languages at native level: Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Polish.
• Good attention to detail, strong analytical ability and numeracy.
• Ability to absorb large amounts of information, work independently and take initiative while remaining a team player.
• An organized and structured approach.
