Controller – Temporary Europe Finance Support

About the role

Oerlikon is seeking a temporary Controller to provide Europe‑wide controlling support for a period of approximately six months. The role is based in the Benelux office in Sint‑Truiden and involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly forecasting and reporting of sales, costs, and CAPEX.
• Review and analyse the monthly P&L, perform cost analysis and support financial closing activities.
• Prepare and review accruals and provisions, including payroll accruals.
• Assist with payroll accounting and ensure accurate payroll provisions.
• Review, analyse, and improve finance structures and processes.
• Provide support on non‑statutory and ad‑hoc finance‑related topics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, accounting or controlling, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, month‑end close, accruals, payroll accounting and reporting.
• Analytical and process‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
• Immediate availability and willingness to travel short distances within Western Europe.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• SAP (knowledge is a plus)
