Controller – Production & Purchasing P&L

About the role

You will join a fast‑growing FMCG organization where finance drives production and purchasing performance. The controlling team works closely with operations, adopts a hands‑on mindset and continuously seeks improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to operational teams, monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of production and purchasing P&L results.
• Prepare and consolidate periodic reporting and budgeting cycles.
• Analyse variances, deliver high‑value business insights and support teams in understanding key performance drivers.
• Participate in financial review meetings with operational stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial and operational processes.
• Lead improvement projects after management validation.
• Support and coach junior members of the controlling team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Engineering or Applied Economic Sciences (TEW) – mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling and/or audit.
• Strong analytical mindset with a hands‑on approach.
• Experience or strong interest in FMCG/industrial environments.
• Fluent Dutch (mandatory) and professional level of English or French.
• Critical thinking, structured mindset and continuous‑improvement orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office skills.
• SAP knowledge (a plus).
