Consultant – Strategy & Transformation (Financial Institutions)

About the role

Join BDO as a Consultant in Strategy & Transformation for financial institutions. You will work alongside senior professionals to support banks and insurers through operational, customer, and finance transformation initiatives, gaining hands‑on experience from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Assist financial institutions in adapting to change across Operations, Customer & Commercial Services, and Finance Transformation.
• Research, analyse, and map business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support workshops, gather business requirements and document insights.
• Coordinate project activities across multiple teams and work closely with project/program managers.
• Contribute to context‑driven initiatives in Daily Banking, Lending, Investments, and Insurance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in business engineering, applied economics or related field (MBA a plus).
• At least 1 year of experience in consulting or the financial sector; audit experience is a strong asset.
• Fluent in Dutch and French with strong English skills.
• Motivated to learn, strong analytical mindset and effective stakeholder communication.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0
• Familiarity with PMI or PRINCE2 methodologies
• Understanding of Lean and Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum)
• Experience with analytics tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
