Communications Manager – EMEA

About the role

The Communications Manager EMEA will lead the execution of complex communication plans that protect and enhance Cargill’s brand reputation across the region. Reporting to the Regional Director Reputation Management & Social, the role works closely with business communication teams, media partners and senior leaders to ensure consistent, positive external storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute media plans for EMEA countries, pitching stories and aligning with regional business communication teams.
• Create and implement the regional social editorial plan, collaborating with the omnichannel senior manager to populate corporate channels.
• Coordinate the external communications calendar and manage key milestones for the EMEA region.
• Support and execute crisis and issue communication plans across EMEA.
• Develop regional messaging tools, templates and processes to ensure consistent storytelling.
• Maintain proactive relationships with journalists, editors and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
• Oversee reputation‑building activities, highlighting organisational strengths and managing negative feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and protecting a company’s reputation through crisis communications, social media and media relations.
• Strong understanding of integrated communications strategies targeting diverse audiences.
• Ability to provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders at country, enterprise and group levels.
