Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – Liège

About the role

Gaming1 is seeking a senior Information Security leader to define and drive its security roadmap across digital and physical environments. Reporting to senior leadership and the Board, the CISO will shape a pragmatic, scalable security framework that supports the company’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the company’s information security agenda and governance, policy, and risk management.
• Define and maintain security standards aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI‑DSS, GDPR and other maturity frameworks.
• Provide guidance to IT and Engineering on security design, execution, and remediation.
• Engage senior stakeholders and present security strategy to executive and Board audiences.
• Build and lead a security team, manage budgets, and make investment decisions based on risk and business priorities.
• Oversee certification and compliance programmes, ensuring ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Travel to operational sites as needed to assess and improve security posture.

Required profile

• Significant experience in information security, cyber risk, or IT security leadership.
• Proven ability to develop security strategy, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience in fast‑evolving, technology‑enabled environments, preferably within regulated sectors such as gaming, financial services or payments.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior executives and Board members.
• Track record of building security teams from a limited baseline.
