CAD Designer

About the role

Expleo is seeking a CAD Designer to join its engineering team. The role focuses on creating and managing digital mock‑ups of mechanical sub‑systems, ensuring design integrity and compliance throughout the product development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Model and store allocated volumes and interfaces for sub‑systems/components in a Digital Mock‑Up environment.
• Perform detailed design of internal sub‑systems and produce 3D models, design annotations and 2D deliverables in line with QCD commitments and company standards.
• Populate part attributes such as naming, material, fire & smoke classifications within the Digital Mock‑Up.
• Verify mock‑up consistency, resolve clashes and confirm compliance with volume, weight and interface requirements.
• Prepare and document Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to N+1 instructions.
• Update the Digital Mock‑Up based on change requests and review subcontractor CAD data for quality.
• Conduct stack‑up analyses and generate accurate Bills of Materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 3D modelling and mechanical design.
• Strong understanding of drawing rules and stack‑up analysis.
• Structured, organised and hands‑on working style.
• Fluent in English and French.
