C# Software Developer – Railway Verification & Validation

About the role

Join an international team in Charleroi to develop advanced software tools that support verification and validation (V&V) processes for railway signalling and control systems. You will contribute to safety‑critical solutions used across the rail sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the software architect to define tool requirements and overall architecture.
• Design, develop, and test C# and Python components, set up the development toolchain, and write unit and verification tests.
• Manage configuration, version control, and deliverable tracking using Git and GitLab.
• Support software‑to‑software integration and participate in hardware‑software integration phases.
• Build and maintain custom V&V tools, promote reuse of internal libraries or COTS solutions, and suggest process improvements.
• Work closely with colleagues in Charleroi and Bangalore, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in C# development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in railway software (ERTMS Level 2) is a plus.
