Business Development Representative

About the role

Spott is a YC‑backed AI startup building an AI‑native recruitment platform. As a Business Development Representative you will join the go‑to‑market team in Leuven and help create the outbound sales engine that will drive new customer conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute outbound prospecting campaigns using cold calls, email sequences and LinkedIn outreach.
• Generate and qualify leads, booking meetings for senior sales colleagues.
• Collaborate with the GTM team and a senior Account Executive mentor to refine messaging and target account selection.
• Participate in sales calls to observe the full sales cycle and contribute insights.
• Research target companies and continuously improve outreach scripts.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Communications or a related field.
• Recent graduate or up to two years of experience in sales development, business development or a junior sales role.
• Hands‑on experience with outbound prospecting (cold calls, email, LinkedIn) and a track record of personal activity or results.
• High energy, self‑motivation and a strong desire to learn and succeed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• Interest in sales technology, recruitment software or SaaS.
