Business Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Business Controller to join a strong European life‑sciences group based in the Brussels region. You will work closely with Finance, Procurement and Operations teams and report directly to Finance leadership, helping to translate procurement savings into clear P&L impacts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, validate and reconcile procurement savings against financial actuals and report performance versus forecast.
• Run spend analytics, identify cost‑reduction opportunities and monitor price trends across key categories.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles, acting as the reference point for the financial impact of procurement and operational decisions.
• Partner with Procurement, Operations and Finance to challenge savings assumptions, align project calculations with accounting entries and ensure accurate reporting.
• Drive process improvement and digitalisation of reporting, documenting controls and reconciliation procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, controlling or accounting.
• Fluent in English with good knowledge of French or Dutch.
