Business Controller – Brussels

About the role

We are seeking a Business Controller to join our industrial team in Brussels. The role will turn financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making and drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance, profitability and key financial indicators across activities.
• Assess margins, cost structures and overall financial efficiency of various business lines.
• Develop and enhance management reporting for leadership teams.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor financial targets.
• Define, track and interpret KPIs to support data‑driven decisions.
• Identify performance gaps, analyse root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Improve data quality, reporting structures and financial analysis processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational and strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a confident approach to financial data.
• Structured, detail‑oriented and highly reliable work style.
• Proactive, results‑driven and comfortable working autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and French; professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Advanced Excel usage.
