Backend Software Engineer – Transport Management Platform

About the role

As a Backend Software Engineer at Qargo you will develop and maintain the core services of a cloud‑based Transport Management Platform used by logistics companies across Europe. Your work will directly influence platform reliability, performance and scalability as the customer base expands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python, Django and GraphQL.
• Develop and optimise data storage and processing with PostgreSQL, PubSub and Kubernetes on Google Cloud.
• Improve cloud‑native infrastructure, ensuring resilience and future‑proof architecture.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers and other backend engineers to translate logistics challenges into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to code quality, performance tuning and technical decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving scale‑up.
