Backend Software Developer

About the role

Join act digital’s expert team to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power core application functionality. You will work closely with frontend developers and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, efficient, and robust technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.
• Implement data models and CRUD operations with MongoDB/Mongoose, and optionally PostgreSQL.
• Optimize performance through caching (Redis), queuing, and asynchronous processing.
• Collaborate with frontend teams, product owners, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration.
• Write clean, type‑safe code and unit tests following NestJS best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years building production‑grade NestJS/TypeScript applications.
• Strong understanding of NestJS architecture and modular design.
• Experience with MongoDB/Mongoose and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (e.g., Auth0) and modern web security practices.
• Proficiency with Git workflows, code reviews, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to user‑story refinement.
