Backend Engineer – Technology Department

About the role

Gaming1 is looking for a Backend Engineer to design, build and evolve the services that power its high‑traffic gaming platform. You will work in a small, autonomous product team, delivering reliable, compliant solutions that directly impact customer experience and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend solutions throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to release, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Front‑end Engineers and other stakeholders to translate product needs into robust services.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data models and event‑driven components using .NET (C#) and technologies such as RabbitMQ or NServiceBus.
• Ensure high performance, resilience and operability of services running on AWS, including storage integration with S3.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, optimizing queries and schema for production workloads.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer in product‑oriented, preferably regulated or large‑scale environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, pragmatic problem‑solving and a continuous learning mindset.
• Comfortable working in small, cross‑functional teams with end‑to‑end responsibility.
