Backend Engineer

About the role

Twipe is a mediatech scale‑up in Leuven delivering cloud‑based digital edition publishing, analytics and personalization solutions for leading newspaper publishers. As a Backend Engineer you will help modernise our back‑end infrastructure into a cloud‑native, horizontally scalable platform using domain‑driven design.

Key responsibilities

• Build a scalable platform serving millions of users with end‑to‑end feature delivery.
• Maintain system availability, monitoring and cost optimisation.
• Design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines while writing clean, testable code.
• Review pull requests to uphold coding standards.
• Manage AWS infrastructure using infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation to ensure service reliability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional C# development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C# .NET 6+.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Proactive communication, strong work ethic and a growth mindset.
