Azure Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer (Hybrid, Zwijndrecht)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join our team on a long‑term, full‑time basis in Zwijndrecht. The focus is on governing, securing, and automating an existing Azure environment rather than on application development. You will work closely with IT teams to optimise the Azure landing zone and support the migration to a new subscription model.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise and extend the Azure Landing Zone and prepare the transition from CSP to MCA (Enterprise Agreement).
• Implement least‑privilege access using RBAC and IAM, and automate Service Principal management.
• Structure subscriptions, resource groups and define Azure policies and governance frameworks.
• Enhance network security, connectivity and ensure compliance with the Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark.
• Establish Azure standards, baselines, monitoring, logging and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Enable self‑service capabilities for development teams and define cost‑management and tagging strategies.
• Implement lifecycle management and automation using PowerShell, Python or similar tools.

Required profile

• Hands‑on Azure platform expertise with a strong focus on governance, IAM and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to work independently, contribute at an architectural level and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in restructuring and optimising existing Azure environments.
