Azure Cloud Platform Architect

About the role

Devoteam, a digital transformation consulting firm with long-standing partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft and ServiceNow, is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Platform Architect in Machelen. The architect designs, implements and manages scalable, secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, working with development teams, operations and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, balancing scalability, performance, security and cost.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to the cloud strategy and roadmap.
• Guide development and operations teams on Azure best practices, architecture patterns and emerging technologies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform.
• Ensure security and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA) and support sales with technical input for RFI/RFP requests.
• Lead migrations of on-premises workloads to Azure and modernize existing cloud applications.
• Monitor and optimize performance, and design disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications and operational documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect or similar role focused on Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English and either French or Dutch, or both.
• Desired: Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400, SC-300, AI-102), hybrid cloud experience, containerization knowledge, and familiarity with AWS or GCP.

Required skills

• Azure compute, storage, networking, databases, security, monitoring and identity services.
• Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
• Scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) and DevOps/CI-CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
