AWS Cloud Engineer – Hybrid, Brussels

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help design, secure, automate and maintain a hybrid cloud environment. The role is based in Brussels and follows a hybrid working model, collaborating closely with infrastructure and service delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a secure, scalable AWS landing zone.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Configure and manage AWS Service Control Policies, Identity Center and SSO integrations.
• Apply cloud security best practices, data classification, encryption and access management.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as NIS2 and ISO 27001.
• Set up logging, monitoring, backup and archiving solutions.
• Support network connectivity between cloud and on‑premises data centers.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and deployment templates.
• Collaborate with architects and internal teams to promote cloud best practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Proven experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and security governance.
• Working proficiency in English and either Dutch or French.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) are highly desirable.
