AWS Cloud Architect

About the role

Devoteam, a consulting firm focused on digital transformation, is looking for an AWS Cloud Architect to join its growing engineering team. You will design, build and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructures, act as the first contact for customers and drive the evolution of cloud platforms while ensuring their security, reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the go-to AWS expert for key customers and support pre-sales solutions.
• Design and implement highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, contributing to the cloud strategy and roadmap.
• Promote infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring and alerting, and take part in on-call rotations depending on customer assignment.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 and HIPAA.
• Identify and implement cost optimization strategies and monitor cloud spending.
• Collaborate with development, security and data teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex infrastructure issues and continuously improve cloud processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Fluent English and Dutch (French preferred).
• Bonus: Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, OpenShift), Amazon Connect, other public clouds, and bilingual oral/written Dutch-English.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Bedrock) and the AWS MAP migration program.
• Extensive experience with Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Networking concepts, security best practices, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Professional) are a plus.
