Associate Web Developer (Remote)

About the role

Olive Tree Consulting is looking for an Associate Web Developer to help build and maintain simple, functional web tools for a leading Brussels‑based client. This entry‑level, full‑time position is fully remote and works closely with consultants to turn project notes into clean, responsive interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update responsive web pages using modern HTML5 and CSS3.
• Write clear, simple JavaScript to add functionality to internal portals.
• Assist with deployment of updates to staging and production environments.
• Review code for consistency and ensure documentation follows internal guidelines.
• Troubleshoot basic bugs and navigation issues reported by users.
• Maintain style guides to keep a unified look across client projects.
• Draft technical notes for the consulting team explaining site features.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with a strong interest in web development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team and manage own tasks.
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering functional, well‑documented code.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HTML5.
• Basic knowledge of CSS3.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
• Familiarity with modern front‑end libraries or frameworks (optional).
