Application Security Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

Everience is seeking a Medior Application Security Engineer to join its dedicated Application Security & Vulnerability Management team. You will work in a fast‑evolving environment of distributed Java and mobile application development, helping development teams embed security throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security tool requests from development teams and perform code reviews using SAST solutions.
• Analyze third‑party libraries with SCA tools and support secure coding and SecDevOps adoption.
• Deliver training sessions on common vulnerabilities and coach teams on security‑tool usage.
• Maintain and operate the automated code‑analysis infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Monitor security evaluations, keep secure development guidelines up to date, and track vulnerabilities and defects.
• Build and maintain reports on application vulnerabilities and contribute to continuous improvement of security processes.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, advising developers on risk mitigation and incident resolution.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience developing Java or mobile applications.
• Strong interest in application security with a goal to become an expert within 3‑5 years.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile/DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with security checks applied at various development stages.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current programming languages, technologies, and standard tools.
