Application Developer

About the role

Bleckmann is looking for an Application Developer to join its Backstage Crew. You will work in a low‑code or rapid‑development environment, creating and enhancing business applications that support the company’s supply‑chain and logistics operations for fashion and lifestyle brands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications using low‑code or rapid‑development tools.
• Implement new functionality, process logic and UI improvements.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems, handling data transformations and automation flows.
• Write scripting logic (e.g., Groovy or Java‑style) for advanced scenarios.
• Translate functional requirements into solid technical implementations, perform debugging and root‑cause analysis.
• Document technical changes, support upgrades, refactoring, security improvements and performance optimisations.
• Explore emerging platforms and AI‑driven tools as the low‑code ecosystem evolves.

Required profile

• Experience developing applications in a low‑code or rapid‑development environment.
• Good understanding of SQL and REST APIs.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to convert functional requirements into technical solutions independently.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams (business, architects, developers).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Interest in frontend development (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
