Accounts Payable Accountant – Liège

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our Accounting team in Liège. You will be responsible for handling the purchase‑to‑pay (P2P) process across our Belgian and Spanish entities, ensuring invoices are recorded accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Record purchase invoices (both PO and non‑PO) for all Belgian and Spanish entities.
• Follow up on any issues related to invoice booking, including vendor creation.
• Train and maintain the OCR tool to automatically recognise invoice fields.
• Manage the purchase mailbox and take required actions.
• Ensure internal and external procedures are applied correctly.
• Contribute to continuous optimisation of the P2P process.
• Participate in ERP optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar AP role.
• Experience with an ERP system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365; Exflow module is a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Basic knowledge of VAT and purchase order workflows.
• Strong adherence to procedures and deadlines.
• Critical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic English communication skills.
