Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join a dynamic industrial company in Walloon Brabant. The role involves ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of daily financial operations while supporting financial reporting and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Allocate costs and revenues correctly and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial statements.
• Assist with variance analysis and reporting to management.
• Manage supplier invoices, payment runs, and follow‑up on accounts payable.
• Monitor customer accounts, support collections, and ensure timely billing.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and support internal and external audits.
• Contribute to process optimisation, internal controls, and ERP/digitalisation initiatives.
• Participate in finance‑related projects across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1‑5 years of accounting experience; industrial experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Professional proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
