Accountant – Belgium

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Client Accountant to support its international clients establishing and growing their businesses in Belgium. Working under the supervision of senior staff, you will handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting for a dedicated portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify accounting information from clients.
• Perform bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, employee expenses and payroll statements.
• Prepare VAT and other Belgian tax declarations.
• Draft client reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Support month‑end closing activities and related preparatory work.
• Maintain simple daily interactions with clients and provide timely updates to senior staff.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong command of English and French (B2‑C1 level).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Belgian GAAP is a plus.
• Organised, meticulous and able to meet deadlines.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
