Vibrations Project Engineer – Power Plant Monitoring

About the role

ENGIE Laborelec is looking for a Vibrations Project Engineer to support the monitoring and analysis of turbine‑generator shaft lines in large power plants. The position combines data‑driven vibration analysis, client interaction and occasional on‑site visits, offering a mix of technical challenge and customer‑focused service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed vibration analysis reviews of turbo‑generator shaft lines.
• Assess mechanical problems and vibration issues in power‑plant components, providing insightful interpretation and actionable solutions.
• Advise customers on optimal condition‑monitoring strategies for existing and new assets.
• Participate in remote condition‑monitoring service shifts for main shaft lines.
• Take part in an on‑call duty rotation (one week every eight weeks) to address urgent client requests.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong interest in data analysis, reporting and technical problem‑solving.
• Customer‑oriented, clear communicator and effective team player.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
• Preference for operational support and direct client contact over fundamental research.
