UI/UX Designer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team in Brussels. The role can be performed on‑site at our offices or at a client’s location, where you will work closely with a major client’s IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research and workshops to capture workflows, pain points and priorities across the event lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements into wireframes, user flows and high‑fidelity mockups using Figma or an equivalent tool.
• Define and maintain a design system based on PrimeNG components, ensuring visual and interaction consistency.
• Collaborate with Angular developers to guarantee accessible, faithful implementation of designs.
• Create and iterate prototypes for user testing, stakeholder validation and governance reviews.
• Ensure all designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Work within the established GSC visual identity while introducing modern, usability‑focused patterns.
• Produce design documentation, component specifications and hand‑over assets.
• Participate in Agile@PM² ceremonies, supporting sprint planning and backlog refinement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience with a portfolio showing end‑to‑end work.
• Strong command of English.
• Experience designing data‑dense enterprise or back‑office applications, including forms, tables and dashboards.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and present design decisions to mixed audiences.
• Prior experience in an EU institution or comparable international public‑sector organization is a plus.

Required skills

• Figma (or equivalent) for wireframing and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Design for component‑based front‑end frameworks (e.g., PrimeNG, Angular Material).
• Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility principles.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining design systems.
• Experience collaborating directly with Angular developers.
