About the role
We are seeking a Travel & Customer Care Assistant to support the DiscoverEU programme. The role involves handling participant enquiries, coordinating travel logistics, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations within an international team.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to participant emails and chat messages while meeting internal service level agreements.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, verify documents, process expenses, and follow up on supplier invoices.
- Identify, assign, and escalate complex cases, including accessibility needs, lost tickets, and rebookings.
- Maintain accurate participant records and ensure compliance with data‑protection and financial‑control policies.
- Support daily team operations through administrative and coordination tasks.
- Verify participant identification documents and follow escalation procedures when required.
Required profile
- Legal eligibility to work full‑time in the European Union.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Fluency in at least one additional EU language (German, Dutch, or Polish preferred).
- Strong customer‑service mindset, organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage priorities under deadlines.
- Enjoys working in an international, collaborative environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with internal web applications, help‑desk platforms, databases, and standard office software.
- Knowledge of GDPR compliance and IT security protocols.
