About the role

As a Transport Material Responsible at Volvo Group, you will ensure that components from global suppliers reach the right destinations on time, supporting the company’s sustainable transport and infrastructure goals. Based in Ghent, you will work in a dynamic, cross‑border logistics team that values collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the transport of parts from global suppliers to end customers.
• Act as the primary contact for operational issues, customer inquiries, and logistics challenges.
• Organise urgent transport solutions with speed and accuracy.
• Resolve transport deviations such as late deliveries or missing documentation.
• Oversee customs and invoicing processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Monitor and improve the performance of external logistics partners.
• Participate in high‑impact projects that keep production lines moving.

Required profile

• Higher education degree or equivalent experience.
• Positive, proactive mindset with strong analytical thinking.
• Resilience under stress and ability to work in a two‑shift rotation system.
• Fluency in English.
