Translation Project Manager

About the role

The Translation Project Manager supports NATO’s Council Secretariat in delivering high‑quality translation services for the Alliance. Working under the Deputy Head of Linguistic Services and Digital Transformation, you will ensure translation projects are executed smoothly, on time, and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full life‑cycle of translation projects, from request planning to delivery.
• Coordinate freelancers, manage demand, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Identify efficiency gains, recommend process improvements, and track client expectations.
• Maintain awareness of document priorities across committees, topics, and document types.
• Establish continuous contact with customers to process translation demand effectively.

Required profile

• University‑level training in translation or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in translation project management or demand processing.
• Professional project‑management certification (e.g., PRINCE2®).
• Language proficiency: NATO level VI in one official language (English or French) and level V in the other.

• Computer‑Aided Translation (CAT) tools.
• Office365 suite.
• SharePoint collaboration platform.
• PRINCE2® project‑management methodology.
