Test Engineer – Medical Devices (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

This is a hands‑on testing position supporting reliability and performance testing of complex medical devices. The role is based in Belgium, on‑site for the majority of the time, and is offered as a 12‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Operate medical devices within a controlled laboratory environment to support reliability testing programmes.
• Execute predefined test protocols and work instructions.
• Accurately record test results in accordance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Monitor testing activities, flag and escalate issues when required.
• Support the generation of high‑quality, compliant testing records.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineering personnel throughout the testing programme.

Required profile

• Degree or background in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electromechanical engineering or related discipline, or clinical experience operating similar medical devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Comfortable working in a testing environment.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Previous experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.
• Flexibility around working hours is desirable.
