Technician – High/Low Voltage & Cable Line – Flemish Brabant

About the role

Elia Belgium is seeking technicians to join its grid‑maintenance team in the Flemish Brabant region. The position covers high‑voltage, low‑voltage and cable‑line activities, contributing to a reliable and sustainable electricity supply.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical measurements and test new equipment prior to commissioning.
• Read, interpret and modify wiring diagrams for various systems.
• Ensure protection system settings are correct and compliant.
• Inspect, intervene on and repair underground and overhead cables and lines.
• Work at heights, including climbing 150‑kV pylons when required.
• Support safety of local residents and contractors working on high‑voltage infrastructure.

Required profile

• Safety is the top priority.
• Technical secondary education certificate or a Bachelor’s degree in electricity, mechanics or electromechanics.
• Good knowledge of electricity and ability to read wiring diagrams.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
