Team Leader Sheet Metal Work

About the role

Sabena Engineering is seeking a Team Leader for Sheet Metal Work to oversee aircraft sheet‑metal operations. The role involves coordinating daily tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring high‑quality workmanship on civil and military aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily objectives from the Project Coordinator and assign tasks based on team members' skills.
• Monitor and report operational difficulties, deviations, and disciplinary issues promptly.
• Provide shift handover notes and act as backup for other team leaders.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise the team, ensuring discipline, tidiness, and professionalism.
• Plan and distribute work efficiently to meet daily deadlines during aircraft checks and other assignments.
• Perform structural inspections and hands‑on sheet‑metal work when workload permits.
• Sign off completed jobs, manage documentation, and ensure proper clock‑in/out procedures.
• Prepare repair quotations, estimate labor and tooling needs, and create part requests in the system.

Required profile

• Preferably a licensed engineer, though not mandatory.
• Proven experience in aircraft sheet‑metal work and team supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage resources and workload.
• Excellent communication for reporting to the Project Coordinator.
