Strategic Projects & Policy Lead – Small Animal Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Projects & Policy Lead to turn the FECAVA Board’s ideas into concrete actions. Working at the crossroads of strategy, science, policy and communication, you will help shape European small-animal veterinary medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and implement strategic ideas and priorities defined by the FECAVA Board.
• Collect, centralise, and structure information on a broad range of small-animal medicine topics.
• Draft high-quality written content such as informative papers, position and policy papers, factsheets and other communication materials.
• Support and coordinate projects led by FECAVA Working Groups, including reporting and discussion with the Board.
• Act as a communication bridge between FECAVA and external partners (sponsors, authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders).
• Provide administrative and organisational support during peak periods, especially for certification projects and congress communication.

Required profile

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
• Strong interest in European affairs, policy development and professional representation.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt content for different audiences.
• Structured, proactive and able to manage multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
