Strategic Communications and Outreach Consultant

About the role

ALSO Space is seeking a Strategic Communications and Outreach Consultant to join its international team. The role blends content creation, analytical writing, project management and stakeholder engagement to translate complex scientific and policy information into clear, accessible outputs for a range of public and security audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate communication materials such as articles, social media posts, website copy, presentations, newsletters, briefings and visual assets.
• Translate technical, scientific and policy information into language suitable for non‑expert and institutional audiences.
• Prepare and contribute to strategic reports, communication plans, user‑uptake strategies, stakeholder analyses and other client‑facing deliverables.
• Coordinate outreach and user‑engagement workstreams, including planning, task allocation, deadline tracking, quality control, workshops, webinars and stakeholder meetings.
• Support project‑management activities across client assignments, including meeting preparation, reporting, internal coordination and follow‑up with partners and subcontractors.
• Assist Horizon Europe and other European research projects with communication, dissemination, exploitation, stakeholder engagement and deliverable preparation.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and business‑development activities, handling research, drafting, formatting and quality control.

Required profile

• Proactive, organised and intellectually curious with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
• Comfortable working in an information‑driven environment and collaborating with technical experts.
• Strong autonomy and ownership of client‑facing tasks and workstreams.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality outputs under tight deadlines.
