Strategic Buyer – Premium Food Industry

About the role

We are seeking a strategic buyer to join a leading Belgian premium food company that is expanding its procurement function. The role goes beyond routine ordering, working closely with R&D, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain to shape sourcing strategies and support new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing of premium raw materials and ingredients.
• Managing supplier relationships, negotiations and complex RFQ processes.
• Collaborating with R&D on new product development and ensuring quality, traceability and sustainability.
• Conducting market analysis, risk management and cost optimisation.
• Driving process improvements and contributing to the procurement transformation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food, FMCG or pharma procurement.
• Strong sourcing and negotiation mindset.
• Passion for quality‑driven, premium products.
• Analytical, curious and improvement‑oriented personality.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, SME‑like environment.
