Strategic Buyer

About the role

Sabca is seeking a Strategic Buyer to lead the procurement of non‑production goods and services for its aerospace and space launcher programs. Based in Brussels, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply while adhering to strict quality and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily indirect purchasing needs across assigned categories, maintaining business continuity.
• Negotiate terms, conditions and contracts with suppliers, driving cost optimisation.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle (RFQ, contract signing, implementation) using SAP S/4HANA.
• Lead indirect sourcing projects, especially tender processes, and define contractual requirements.
• Analyse spend data, supplier performance and market trends; monitor KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards and promote continuous improvement.
• Transfer knowledge to new team members and support a culture of learning.

Required profile

• University degree or bachelor’s in procurement, supply chain, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years as a Category Manager or Procurement Officer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven budget management and cost‑analysis skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
