About the role
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially‑driven Strategic Business Developer to join our headquarters in the Ath region, Belgium. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing and the CEO, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new B2B opportunities while nurturing a portfolio of key accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and close new business opportunities that align with the company’s growth strategy.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Manage and expand existing accounts to maximise satisfaction and revenue.
- Prepare tailored proposals and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with the sales team on strategic projects and market development initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
- Maintain regular customer engagement through visits, meetings and follow‑ups.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities and account performance.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of proven success in B2B sales, business development or key account management, preferably in industrial or med‑tech environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business in international markets and manage high‑value relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, results‑oriented approach.
- Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
