Software Engineer – Simcorp Dimension Implementation

About the role

Nexeo Belgium is seeking a Software Engineer to join a long‑term project for a multinational client in the banking, finance and insurance sector. The position can be either freelance or permanent and focuses on implementing and supporting Simcorp Dimension solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support changes and ongoing operation of the Simcorp Dimension application.
• Gather business requirements, design functional specifications and implement enhancements.
• Develop, test and validate business requirements, providing support when issues arise.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with vendor package implementation, data flow, parameterisation and release management.
• Background in asset management, capital markets or securities domains.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• UAC / UDM or similar scheduling and file‑transfer systems.
• Perl scripting.
• Version control with Subversion.
• Continuous integration using Jenkins.
• XML and XSLT.
• FIX protocol.
• Oracle database.
• Simcorp Dimension and SWIFT communication server.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira and Kanoah.
