Software Engineer – Financial Systems (Leuven)

About the role

We are seeking a full-time, office‑based Software Engineer to join our IT team in Leuven. The role focuses on modernising financial systems and ageing applications, contributing to Medpace’s global software development footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and document user requirements.
• Design, modify, develop and support software applications.
• Participate in software validation through test plan/cases/scripts.
• Follow the software development life‑cycle: requirements, design, development, testing, release and maintenance.
• Communicate with team members about projects, tools and procedures.
• Develop using C#, ASP.NET, SQL and related technologies.
• Potentially lead software development projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience with C#, Angular, Webservices, GraphQL, Git and relational databases.
• Experience with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Understanding of SDLC and software release management.
• Prior experience modernising systems to Azure cloud is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills in English.
