Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our platform team in Beerse. The role focuses on building and operating highly available, multi‑region cloud infrastructure, serverless applications, and observability solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑region disaster‑recovery architectures and fallback infrastructure for AWS outages.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain serverless services using Python, the Serverless Framework, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and related AWS services.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, and embed security and compliance checks.
• Build comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, DataDog, Grafana, and define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Mentor and lead development teams, conduct code reviews, and facilitate technical discussions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python skills.
• 3+ years of hands‑on AWS experience, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
• Proven track record building serverless applications and multi‑region architectures.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and observability solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
